The Mainzer Golf Project was awarded to EGS in 2007.  EGS were the main contractors for the project.  Städler  Golf Course design were the Architects and Reis and Reis were the Project Managers for the project.

Project Description:         

The contract comprised of the following:

  • 43,000m2 of Tree Clearance
  • 123,000m3 of excavation
  • 5.3km of gravel cart path, 2.5m wide
  • Importation of 28,000 tons of sub soil
  • Importation of 8,000 tons of top soil
  • Construction of 1.6 hectares of lakes and wetlands
  • 10,000m of drainage
  • Cultivation and seeding of 222m2

Phase 1 of the development consisted of the construction of 10 holes, 6 hole short game area and driving range, and short game academy covering approximately 50 hectares.
