Tramore Golf Club awarded EGS the contract in 2007.  EGS were the main contractors for the project.  Jeff Howes Design were the Architects for the project.

Project Description:         

The contract comprised of the following:

  • 60,500m3 of earth moving
  • Tree clearance of 3.2 Hectares
  • Top soil strip of 340,000 m2
  • Shaping of  340’000 m2
  • Installation of  6.5km of irrigation pipe network
  • Installation of 420 sprinkler heads and  pump station
  • 28,000lm of primary drainage
  • 200,000lm of secondary drainage

The project was in three stages.  Remodelling of the original 18 holes and construction of a new short game area and Putting green  on the existing site, and the construction of a new 9 holes Installation of  Irrigation to the new green and adapting the system to new green locations. Other works include diverting the stream through the site in  3 location and the installation of rock armour and bridge crossings, the reconstruction of 6 Tee complexes and general mounding throughout the site.
